The online panel discussion Choose Europe: From Theory to Practice will take place on 25 June 2026, from 13:30 p.m. - 15:00 p.m. (CET).

Organised by the Community of the EIT Higher Education Initiative, the event will explore practical approaches to attracting and retaining global talent in Europe. Bringing together perspectives from European policymaking, higher education, entrepreneurship, and international talent mobility, the discussion will address a central question: What does it really take to choose Europe – and to stay?

Participants will discuss what attracts people to Europe, the factors that encourage them to remain, the barriers they may encounter, and how universities, institutions, and policymakers can contribute to making Europe a more attractive and supportive destination for global talent.
