The policy workshop “The European Student Observatory: A One-Stop-Shop for Students” (now the European Student Hub) took place online on 29 September 2025.

Once fully developed, the European Student Hub will host a benchmarking tool to inform students about the comparative diversity of university profiles and study programmes across Europe. During the workshop, participants were introduced to the Student Benchmarking Tool, exploring its concept, content, and visualisation, as well as its synergies with other EU tools. They also contributed ideas for the tool’s next stages of development.

The agenda featuresd:

• Presentation of the European Student Hub and its (planned) Student Benchmarking tool;
• Breakout discussions focused on how the tool can be optimised to best support and engage students 
  (in terms of benchmarking, contextual data, communication strategy, and synergies with other EU initiatives);
• Open feedback session and Q&A, offering all participants the opportunity to contribute to the tool’s future development.
