The EHESO Strategic Transformation Toolbox, first launched in January 2025, has now been expanded with additional tools to further support higher education institutions, policymakers, students and academics in navigating strategic transformations in European higher education.

The toolbox provides a diverse range of resources—including self-assessment tools, guidelines, databases, networks, learning materials, scoreboards, and templates—helping stakeholders make informed decisions, drive institutional development, and shape evidence-based policies. Some tools have been developed with EU support, while others come from third-party initiatives, ensuring a comprehensive and evolving collection.

Users can easily navigate the toolbox by selecting their target group (higher education institutions, policymakers, or students) and the type of tool they need.

• Higher education institutions can assess their performance relative to peers, identify best practices, and enhance teaching, research, and management strategies.
