In Spain, while there is no single, uniform definition of “youth”, the age group of 15 to 29 is established by the Youth Strategy 2030 (Estrategia Juventud 2030) as the general reference for youth policies.

According to the Spanish National Statistical Institute (INE) data on Population figures and Demographic Censuses, Spain has an estimated population of 48,619,695 people in January 2024, of those 7.871.257 are youth, roughly 16%.
