Information providers / counselling structures
There is no central source of information and guidance on non-formal, informal and youth work learning opportunities. Individual course providers and sector organisations provide information on their own courses. However, Eurodesk, a European network of European and national information centers for young people, offers centralised youth information and international learning opportunities and is an organisation supported by the Erasmus+ programme.
Public libraries, funded by the Department for Communities, and administered by Libraries NI, are common sources of directories of learning opportunities and youth organisations.
Awareness raising initiatives
To raise awareness of the range of opportunities open to young people in Northern Ireland and to those who work with them, the Erasmus+ UK National Agency organises annual information sessions for prospective new applicants and networking events for experienced youth beneficiaries, as well as detailed guidance online.
