Formal Mechanisms of Consultation

Apart from the EU Youth Dialogue, in Croatia there is no established prescriptive mechanism for consultations with young people. EU Youth Dialogue serves as a platform for discussing issues and priorities related to youth policy. 

Actors

The Youth Council of the Republic of Croatia is  a National Youth Council that was first time established on 30th October 2023 in accordance with the Amendments to the Youth Councils Act. 

Information on the extent of youth participation

There is no information available on the extent of youth participation in Croatia.

Outcomes

In 2023, a significant number of interested young people participated in commenting on the National Youth Programme 2023-2025 through the e-Citizens online platform. During the public consultation, the Draft National Programme received 168 comments. 

Large-scale initiatives for dialogue or debate between public institutions and young people

Apart from the EU Youth Dialogue campaign, named EU asks you, there are no large-scale initiatives for dialogue or debate between public institutions and young people.
