What is the Mobility Scoreboard?
The European Commission's Mobility Scoreboard follows up on the 2011 'Youth on the Move' Recommendation of the Council of the European Union, providing a framework for monitoring progress made by European countries in creating a positive environment supporting learner mobility. It contains scoreboard indicators in the area of higher education and initial vocational education and training.
Higher education indicators have been developed by Eurydice, and cover policy measures related to information and guidance, foreign language preparation, the portability of grants and loans, support to disadvantaged learners, the recognition of learning outcomes and the automatic recognition of qualifications.
Indicators in initial vocational education and training (IVET) have been developed by Cedefop and cover a broad range of areas from information and guidance through administrative issues and financial support to recognition. It also contains transversal indicators on target-setting, coordination, evaluation and strategy-formation.
