The EU Youth Strategy supports Member States in designing measures that ease the transition of young individuals from education and training – or from unemployment or inactivity – to quality employment. To this end, investments in the provision of suitable skills for those jobs in demand on the labour market should be increased, the quality and fairness of traineeships and apprenticeships should be ensured, and young people's entrepreneurship competences should be fostered.
