10.6 Recognition and validation of skills acquired through youth work

Existing arrangements

The youth worker professional profile has a complementary tool called RVCC or profile for the recognition of competences, aimed at allowing people who work in the youth field to request, if interested, access to the degree of Youth Worker (Técnico de Juventude) based on the competences already acquired.

This process is certified by the National Agency for Qualification and Professional Education, and Qualifica centres, a programme for adult education and qualification. For the competences to be acknowledged and the degree to be attributed, the applicant needs to undergo a series of tests designed to evaluate the competences acquired.
