Existing arrangements

The legal framework in Denmark does not differentiate between different kinds of non-formal learning, skills and competencies gained outside the formal education system. Therefore, there are no recognition and validation arrangements of skills specifically acquired by young people through participation in youth work. Young people may use prior learning assessment (realkompetencevurdering) for skills and competencies gained through youth work. For more information, see sections 2.7 and 6.4.

Skills

There are no top-level national policies or recognition mechanisms to identify specific skills and competencies that can be acquired through youth work.
