Ireland's Best Young Entrepreneur
Ireland’s Best Young Entrepreneur (IBYE) was ran until 2019 by the 31 Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs), with the support of the Department of Enterprise and Innovation and Enterprise Ireland. It aimed to support a culture of entrepreneurship among young people in Ireland, to promote entrepreneurship as a career choice, and to encourage Ireland’s young people to set up new businesses which will ultimately create jobs.
The competition was open to people between the ages of 18 and 35 with an innovative business idea, new start-up or established business. Up to 450 young entrepreneurs are invited each year to attend free regional ‘Entrepreneur Bootcamps’, to help them develop their business and new venture ideas.
