2.6 Quality assurance
No data was found suggesting that there is an overarching quality assurance for youth volunteers in general. However, organizations offering volunteering positions are free to establish quality guidelines or rules. The Red Cross in Iceland is a prime example with guidelines ensuring efficiency in their work. These rules cover a wide range of items in their day to day operations, including measuring the satisfaction of beneficiaries as well as volunteers, establishing quality assurance mechanisms within the organization and gather data on internal affairs within the organization.
