2.6 Quality assurance

In general, the Law related to volunteer's rights offers a quality assurance to volunteering by providing a legal framework to every volunteers in Belgium.

Furthermore, some organisations have developed their own volunteering charter, which every member must commit to. 

In Holiday's centres, a certain number of volunteers in the animation team must have a youth worker qualification. This qualification leads to a certificate approved by the French-speaking Community. 

European Solidarity Corps

The French-speaking Community participates actively in the European Solidarity Corps programme, where the EVS quality standards (support to the volunteer, information and Youthpass) apply. The quality assurance is assured by the National Agency for Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps in the French-speaking Community (Bureau International Jeunesse) and the sending and hosting organisations.
