2. Voluntary Activities

Last update: 26 March 2025

While there is currently no dedicated youth volunteering policy in the country, voluntary activities are dispersed across various initiatives outlined in the National Youth Strategy (2017-2022), which is coordinated by the Youth Board of Cyprus (YBC) and other official documents, such as the Declaration of the Rights and Responsibilities of Volunteers and the legislation concerning Foreigners and Immigration (Conditions for Entry and Residence of Third-Country Nationals for Research, Studies, Internship, Voluntary Service, Student Exchange, or Educational Programs) Law No.7(I)/2019 that have been adopted on volunteering.

By 2024, the most recent development is the completion of the project that was administered by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport for the recognition of non-formal and informal learning gained through volunteering.
