2. Voluntary Activities

Last update: 27 March 2026

Youth volunteering in Cyprus is governed through a multi-layered system involving state bodies, such as the Youth Board of Cyprus and the Commissioner for the Citizen, and the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council as a civil‑society coordinator.

While there is currently no dedicated youth volunteering policy in the country, voluntary activities are dispersed across various initiatives outlined in the National Youth Strategy (2017-2022), which is coordinated by the Youth Board of Cyprus (YBC) and other official documents, such as the Declaration of the Rights and Responsibilities of Volunteers and the legislation concerning Foreigners and Immigration (Conditions for Entry and Residence of Third-Country Nationals for Research, Studies, Internship, Voluntary Service, Student Exchange, or Educational Programs) Law No.7(I)/2019 that have been adopted on volunteering.
