1. Youth Policy Governance

1.1 Target population of youth policy

Last update: 28 March 2024

The National Youth Strategy of Cyprus (“Εθνική Στρατηγική για τη Νεολαία”), which is the main policy document on youth policy in Cyprus, clearly defines the lower and higher age limit of the youth population it targets as 14-35 years old. The National Strategy on the sexual and reproductive health of young people (Εθνική Στρατηγική για τη σεξουαλική και αναπαραγωγική υγεία των νέων) defines youth differently, targeting youth between 15 and 29 years old. However, the most commonly adopted age range addressed in the field is 14-35, as defined by the Youth Board of Cyprus, the National Agency for Youth. The National Youth Strategy does not identify any specific sub-groups within the main youth age group.
