Information providers
The main information provider on cross-border volunteering opportunities for young people is the National Agency of the EU Programme European Solidarity Corps and Eurodesk Cyprus. Young people can also get information about youth volunteering opportunities by contacting the Youth Board of Cyprus and the Youth Multicenters.
Moreover, information on voluntary activities at national level is also disseminated through the Pancyprian Volunteerism Coordinative Council which acts as the Supreme Coordinating Body of NGOs and voluntary service.
Key initiatives
The Youth Board of Cyprus carries out several awareness raising actions, through its social media channels and the 'Up to You(th)' show. In addition, there is also the podcast of Youth Board of Cyprus entitled 'YouthCast' that young people have the opportunity to listen about important issues that concern them today. Moreover, The UptoYou(th) Festival, organized by the Youth Board of Cyprus, is an annual event that promotes youth participation, creativity, and active citizenship. It features workshops, performances, and activities that empower young people, encourage volunteerism, and foster social engagement.
“Erasmus Days” is another annual event that celebrates the impact of the Erasmus+ program through a series of events, workshops, and activities across the country. Organized by various institutions, these events aim to promote mobility, international collaboration, and the opportunities Erasmus+ offers in education, training, youth, and sport. Universities, municipalities, and organizations are participating by hosting info sessions, cultural events, and interactive activities, encouraging more individuals to engage in the program and experience its benefits.
