Human rights, sustainable development and green patterns of consumption continue to be great challenges at both national and global levels. Exploring options and alternative strategies engages many young Swedes. 

Empowering young people to be able to participate in the society is one of the main goals of Government youth policy. The main strategy is to support young people's participation, both at national and global levels, by offering upper secondary education for all young people and financial support in form of government grants to youth CSOs.
