One of the youth policy principles stated in the Youth Law is the “mobility and international co-operation principle”.

International cooperation is essential for the implementation and strengthening of youth policy in accordance with international standards. Good international cooperation ensures the defense of Latvia's interests, development and implementation of international youth policy, promotes the recognition of the Latvian youth policy results and attracts foreign financial resources for further youth policy implementation.
