Forthcoming policy developments

In the Republic of Serbia, a set of strategic and legislative documents in the area of environmental protection is currently in development. These include laws on environmental protection, protection from non-ionizing radiation, and integrated prevention and control of pollution. In addition, strategic documents – Programme for Industrial Safety for 2026–2035 and Programme for Development of Circular Economy 2025–2030 – is also being prepared. The Ministry of Environmental Protection is the proposer of these initiatives, and the policies are at various stages of development, ranging from early proposals open for discussion to draft documents.
