Existence of a National Strategy

There is no national volunteering strategy, nor is there one specifically related to youth volunteering.

In 2020, the Government drafted the National Programme for the Development of Volunteering 2020-2024. However, the document was another one in a row of proposals halted at the stage of public counselling. 

Scope and Content

There is no national volunteer strategy. 

Responsible authority

The development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of a national volunteering strategy fall within the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy.
