Croatia has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in Europe. This persistent social challenge is worsened by precarious work and an increasing number of young people choosing to leave the country.

The Ministry of Labour, Pension System, Family and Social Policy carries out administrative and coordinating tasks related to employment programmes. The Ministry’s primary partner in implementing policies for employment and entrepreneurship at the government level is the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development.
