Research results (Ilišin and Spajić-Vrkaš, 2015) shows a low level of civic and political participation among young people in Croatia. Increasing youth participation in society is one of the goals in the new National Youth Programme 2023-2025. Young people have several options to engage in decision-making process, either through institutional channels like the Advisory Board for Youth of the Government of the Republic of Croatia (youth advisory boards) or through consultations and participatory processes in decision-making.
