The Ministry of Social Security and Labour of the Republic of Lithuania and other ministries are responsible for coordination and implementation of youth policy in Lithuania. The Department of Youth Affairs within the Ministry of Social Security and Labour is primarily responsible for youth and/or youth programming and this includes cross-sectorial mechanisms of cooperation. The Department of Youth Affairs coordinates and organizes committees on monitoring specific policy measures (e.g. Youth Guarantee Committee etc.). Responsible institutions for the implementation of specific youth policy measures are the Ministry of Culture,  the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Drug Control Department under the Government of Lithuania, Employment Services, and Council of Youth Affairs. There is no special formal body for cross-sectorial collaboration, however cross-sectorial mechanisms of cooperation include designated employees within the ministries.
