1.1 Target population of youth policy

Last update: 22 March 2024

The Romanian Youth Law (Legea Tinerilor, Law no. 350/2006) defines the age limits for the youth from 14 to 35 years old.

The National Strategy on Employment 2021-2027 (Strategia Nationala pentru Ocuparea Fortei de Munca 2021-2027) defines youth between 15 and 24 years old for some of the measures to encourage employment in connection with the labour legislation and taking into account the statistics available. However, the National Strategy on Employment 2021-2027 is providing the national measures for the implementation of the reinforced Youth Guaranty, therefore it is relevant for young people  between 15 and 29 years old (under the age of 30).
