The Ministry of Culture and Media and the Ministry of Science and Technological Development together with Innovation Fund of Montenegro provide support that aims to foster creative use of new technologies.
 

New technologies in support of creativity and innovation
 

There are several programmes that aim to improve young people's capacities for innovation and creative expression. 
 

The Ministry of Culture and Media stipulates this support through the open call for the creative industries sector that has already been presented. In addition, in order to improve infrastructural conditions for the development of this sector, the Ministry established two creative hubs in Old Town Bar and Old Town Kotor, both in cultural heritage sites thus contributing to sustainable use of cultural heritage properties. The established hubs are now places that connect young and creative people from Montenegro and the region in order to mutually improve their capacities and exchange knowledge and best practices.
 

The Ministry of Science and Technological Development has special supporting measures for fostering innovative culture for the projects from the field of creative industries. In addition, Innovation Fund is the key institution for providing support to innovative projects and ideas that also include young people, start ups and similar initiatives.

Facilitating access to culture through new technologies

Digitalization of culture in terms of access to public institutions and cultural content is one of the key priorities of cultural policy.
 

Thus, the National Cultural Development Program stipulates measures aiming at promoting culture through digital technologies, especially referring to cultural heritage institutions and properties. Use of modern technologies, such as VR and 3D mapping is being used more often in recent years and it contributes to the accessibility of cultural content to wider audiences, especially young ones. 
 

Digitalization of cultural content from the field of cultural heritage (cultural heritage sites, museums, libraries) is a long process that is constantly being upgraded. Being aware of the fact that digitalization is the best way to protect information, the Ministry of Culture and Media has foreseen a set of measures to provide the use of innovative tools for the protection and promotion of the cultural heritage field. 
 

Other than the mentioned, the Ministry provides support for the use of innovative technologies in the field of culture through the call for the creative industries sector. Namely, the support is provided for the projects that promote digital tools, such as applications, for the purpose of easier and more interesting access to cultural heritage.
