9.2 Administration and governance
National Council on Sustainable Development is an advisory body to the government for sustainable development policy which meets at least twice per year. It has more than thirty members (mainly coming from institutions) among which three representatives of non-governmental organizations among which one represents youth associations in Montenegro allowing for representation of the young people’s voice and communication of their opinions to decision makers. Prime Minister of Montenegrin government presides over the National Council whereas the Office for Sustainable Development serves as Secretariat to the Council is part of the Secretariat-General of the Government.
