Cultural events, a number of winter and summer festivals, music events, art exhibitions, theater and poetry evenings are only part of the rich treasury of Macedonian culture.

The National Strategy for Development of Culture 2018-2022 (Национална Стратегија за развој на културата во Република Македонија во периодот 2018-2022 година) is a strategic document that determines the mid-term objectives and priorities for development of the culture in Republic of North Macedonia. Fostering equality and creating conditions for fostering the freedom and diversity of creativity and cultural identities are the main aims of the National Strategy for Development of Culture 2018-2022. The Strategy underlines the guaranteed right to esthetic, artistic and cultural diversity that should be implemented with the inclusion of marginalized groups and people with special needs in order to avoid social discrimination in culture.
