There are a number of policy measures to promote or to fund start-ups (e.g. Luxinnovation, House of Entrepreneurship), but these are not specifically designed for young people.
Access to information
Luxembourg offers various resources to support young entrepreneurs in obtaining relevant information about starting and growing a business. Platforms like my-life.lu and government websites provide guidance on the steps to take for starting a business, eligibility for grants, and other funding options. These resources are supplemented by business development centers, such as the House of Startups organised by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, and the Luxembourg House of Financial Technology (LHoFT), a not-for-profit initiative supported by both the public and private sector.
Luxembourg hosts various events aimed at supporting promising startups, particularly in new technologies. Notable events include Fit4Start and Startup World Cup Luxembourg, all designed to foster innovation and provide networking and growth opportunities for emerging companies.
Access to capital
Young entrepreneurs have multiple avenues to secure capital, including low-interest loans through the National Credit and Investment Society (SNCI), as well as venture capital and crowdfunding platforms. Additionally, the Ministry of Economy in Luxembourg offers a range of government grants for start-ups and established SMEs.
