Forthcoming policy developments
The establishment of the Türkiye National Youth Council (Türkiye Ulusal Gençlik Konseyi) is foreseen in the legal framework. Article 215 of Presidential Decree No. 1 provides for the establishment of the Council within the Ministry of Youth and Sports and states that its establishment, operation, management, duties and oversight, as well as its working procedures and principles, shall be regulated by the President. (Presidential Decree No. 1 – Article 215).
Accordingly, further secondary arrangements are expected to clarify practical details of the Council’s functioning.
Considering young people’s active engagement in digital media, discussions continue on how to strengthen effective e-participation channels—both through social media-based interaction and through formal digital public participation tools such as CİMER and its participatory consultation sections.
