Forthcoming policy developments

The development of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Youth Strategy is underway. At its 47th regular session, held on 13 February 2025 in Mostar, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Government accepted the Proposal of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Youth Strategy 2025-2034 prepared by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ministry of Culture and Sports. The proposal will be submitted to the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliament for adoption in the coming period. The Government of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton adopted the Youth Strategy 2023-2028 at a session held in March 2023. The working group defined 8 priority areas:

  • Education and culture,

  • Employment,

  • Social policy,

  • Health policy,

  • Housing policy,

  • Youth mobility, participation in society,

  • Leisure time and youth work,

  • Youth safety.

Technical support for the drafting of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton Youth Strategy 2023-2028 was provided by the General Mobilization project, funded by the European Union and implemented by the CSO Nesto Vise and the PRONI Center for Youth Development
