Forthcoming policy developments

BiH is invited to adopt the Law on electronic identification and trust services for electronic transactions harmonized with the acquis, and the law on electronic communications and electronic media.

The importance of developing and adopting cybersecurity and access to a broadband network policy was highlighted.

Ongoing debates

With regard to social responsibility, as well as the assumed European acquis, BiH has the imperative to pass law on electronic media, in order to finally introduce control in this area of media activities, protect freedom of speech, and prevent hate speech.
