On this page
Support to young volunteers
No top-level policy measures exist, which support young volunteers, in particular those with fewer opportunities.
The National Agency for the Erasmus+ and European Solidary Corps programmes organise information and training activities for the promotion of volunteering among young people with fewer opportunities based on the more inclusive nature of the programme.
Community building
There are no top-level policy measures or initiatives aimed at developing and strengthening social cohesion and inclusion in the communities where volunteering projects take place.
Tackling societal challenges
There are no top-level measures, initiatives and programmes supporting young volunteers to engage in projects that contribute to solve societal challenges.
However, recognizing the importance of volunteering, the National Youth Programme (2021 – 2025) and the National Programme for Implementation of Youth Activities under article 10a of the Gambling Act (2023-2025) provide financial support to youth projects that include voluntary initiatives and activities in areas like environment protection, tolerance and European affiliation, etc., although these programmes are not exclusively targeted to volunteering.
