Information providers

The Youth Policy Directorate at the Ministry of Youth and Sports maintains the website National Information System for Youth (Национална информационна система за младежта) where one can find information about national youth programs, youth initiatives, projects and events, youth organisations, national and international strategic, program and political documents, national advisory bodies, etc. The website has its Facebook page.

Youth work resources can be found on:

The National Working Group on Youth Work established by the Ministry of Youth and Sports has the task to raise awareness about the Bonn Process and the youth work at national and local level among the public, young people, nongovernmental organisations and institutions dealing with these topics; to carry out consultations with view of making decisions with regard to the Bonn Process implementation at national level; to ensure consistent and continuous implementation of the Bonn Process by ensuring communication and inclusion of all stakeholders.

Key initiatives

There are no initiatives for raising awareness in youth work implemented by the top-level authorities.

Youth work is in the focus of the National Program for Implementation of Youth Activities under article 10a of the Gambling Act (Национална програма за изпълнение на младежки дейности по чл. 10а от Закона за хазарта) for the next program period 2023-2025, which is in process of approval. As the draft program is not yet approved, more information can be found in section 10.8.

Every year on the occasion of the International Youth Day – 12 August, the Ministry of Youth and Sports organizes various events, including in some years Youth Organisations Fests. During theses events NGOs and the national Agency for Erasmus+; the youth centres in the country and youth clubs can advertise and promote the opportunities they can offer regarding youth work through art, exhibition and advertising materials with information.
