Synergies between public policies and programs
In accordance with the Ministerial Decision 30964/2022, an Interministerial Working Group was established within the General Secretariat for Vocational Education and Training, Lifelong Learning and Youth, with the aim of coordinating public policies concerning youth. The working group is responsible for the planning, coordination, monitoring and promotion of policies for young people aged 15–29, as well as for the formulation of relevant policy proposals.
Within the framework of its responsibilities, the working group:
• Maps the existing policies of the Ministries that concern youth,
• Monitors their implementation,
• Contributes to the coordination of public policies for youth, and
• Supports the alignment of related initiatives with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Representatives from various Ministries participate in the Interministerial Working Group, including representatives from the Ministry of Culture, with the aim of coordinating initiatives related to creativity and culture.
Partnerships between cultural and creative sectors, youth organizations and youth workers in the sector of youth
In Greece, there is no specific national programme aimed exclusively at promoting cooperation between the cultural and creative sectors, youth organisations and youth workers.
However, such collaborations are supported through European programmes and initiatives, particularly through the Creative Europe Programme 2021–2027, which supports cooperation projects among cultural and creative organisations from different countries, promoting cross-border cooperation, the mobility of creators and the development of networks in the cultural and creative sectors.
In Greece, the Creative Europe Desk Greece also operates, providing information and support to cultural organisations and institutions wishing to participate in the programme.
At the same time, cooperation between youth organisations and cultural institutions may also be developed through other European programmes, such as Erasmus+ Youth and the European Solidarity Corps, which fund mobility, cooperation and skills development initiatives for young people and youth workers.
